The Challenge

Before Livesnap, identifying alumni achievements relied primarily on one person, drawing from a regularly updated list of sources and some automated monitoring. In practice, this meant the team had to deal with:

  • Late discovery of certain accomplishments, sometimes too late to act on them at the right moment.

The Solution

Livesnap continuously monitors over 400,000 verified content sources to identify alumni who have received awards, earned promotions, or reached notable milestones.

When an alumni mention is detected, Livesnap analyzes the content, extracts only the relevant information, and confirms the right person's identity using a probability score based on distinguishing criteria such as field of study.

The resulting mentions are then delivered to the University's team, who verify each individual's alumni status.
